****completed***** Urban Sketching Roma Norte, Mexico City August 2018
An adventurous group trekked into the eclectic and bohemian Mexico City neighborhood of Roma Norte for a 4-day 3-night sketch tour that had us moving about the brilliant city, as long-time sketch artist and instructor Rhoda Draws led the group on sketching our travels fast & loose. We found cafes and parks to practice our lessons, and spent afternoons taking in the sights at the Frida Kahlo Museum, and witnessed an extraordinary exhibit of Leonora Carrington's amazing body of work. In the evenings, we found a comfortable couch in the three-story floor-to-ceiling bookstore next door, where we were presented with a fascinating revolving door of excellent sketch subjects right before our very eyes. There's no shortage of art, culture and amazing food in CDMX, and we managed to pack in quite a bit of sights and sounds during the long weekend, including sketching everything around us.
Thanks to all the adventure-seeking artists who joined us on this vibrant and exciting sketch tour, we hope you'll continue to sketch your world around you at share your travels with us. Te deseo que tengas un buen viaje. ¡Nos vemos pronto!
