Have you dreamt of knowing how to create a unique sketchbook of your travels, but are not sure where to start? Are you a curious artist and traveler and want to travel with art-adventure seeking people? Do you prefer to travel in small groups, allowing for a more intimate experience of your travel destination?
Say no more and pack your sense of adventure and sketch bag for soulful Oaxaca City in the south of Mexico, a mere 45-minute flight from Mexico City.
We'll spend this workshop at a colorful and comfortable charming hotel, located near the center of this enchanting Mexican city, and each morning after breakfast, we'll explore options and ideas for you to create your travel sketchbook. There will be time spent in local art museums, plazas, cafes, and streets, in order to inspire your travel sketchbook creations, as well as a trip to the near-by major ceremonial center and one of Mexico's greatest archeological treasures, the Monte Albán Archeological Zone.
Join us to experience a kaleidoscope of archeological treasures, rich cultural traditions, world famous folk art, and a wide variety of regional Mexican cuisine. Savor the famous moles, chocolate, dried beef dishes, and rose petal or prickly pear ice cream. Shop in the exotic native markets and marvel at the soulful colors displayed before your eyes. We'll stay at the charming and colorful Posada Don Mario, located just a few short walking block from the church. You have a choice of rooms, single with a shared or private bathroom, and a double with a shared or private bathroom. If you would like a roommate, please let me know so I can attempt to match you up with someone, or choose a single room. Here are the room types and prices:

Oaxaca City is a 45-minute flight from Mexico City, with many flight on Volaris Airlines. from the airport, a taxi will cost $250 pesos (about $15 USD) door-to-door to the hotel.

ETN bus from SMA - QRO Primera Plus bus QRO - Mexico City Airport Depending on your flight, either best to spend the night close to Mexico City airport, and the catch a morning flight to Oaxaca.
If you are traveling from USA/Canada, Mexico City is a major hub with many flights, and then check with Volaris, TAR, Interjet or Aero Mexico. Once you arrive in Oaxaca City, our hotel is a 30-minute taxi ride, be sure to purchase your taxi ticket inside the airport.

Arrival: Wednesday, February 27, 2019 There are many direct flights from Mexico City (MEX) into Oaxaca City (OAX). For those coming from Central Mexico, you may choose to fly from Leon, Guanajuato (BJX) or Queretaro (QRO) airports, with flights arriving in the morning and arriving in Oaxaca by mid-day. Suggested airlines are Interjet, Volaris, and AeroMexico. Upon your arrival in Oaxaca airport, please stop at the secure Taxi Stand and purchase a taxi for $250 pesos to Posada Don Mario. I will remain in contact with you as you are making you flight plans, so that the group arrives at our hotel on the same day. However, you are free to arrive a day earlier and you will need to make your own hotel arrangements.
