Join Artist/Instructor Meagan Burns in the Continuous Line Boot Camp three times per week for one hour to greatly improve your drawing abilities by doing drawing warm-ups, pattern making and short timed continuous line sketches.
The Continuous Line practice is a "supplemental drawing practice much like vitamins", and nothing about Meagan's workshops are the tips to draw like Meagan nor anyone else; it's about leaning into one's personal style of line making no matter what the medium; a continuous line practice will improve one's abilities in such mediums as direct watercolor, sculpting, printmaking; mediums Meagan personally dabbles in and her skills improved as her daily continuous line warmups persevered. Whether you've been an artist for years or you're just beginning, this elementary practice will impact your drawing ability and Meagan will share proven tips and techniques for this practice.

To join the Continuous Line Boot Camp, simply fill out the registration and click on the Buy Now link to pay for the month of classes. You will receive a link to our Zoom Room via email where you will draw live with Meagan on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays for the month of April, 2023.
Our first class is Monday, April 3, 2023 at 10am EST//Mexico City.

Who is Meagan Burns
Meagan Burns artist, instructor and workshop creator, originally from Chicago, first moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 2009 and now lives in Mexico City where she helps people plow through their drawing fears by practicing Continuous Line Urban Sketching in the fascinating streets of Mexico City and beyond. She rallied the San Miguel de Allende sketching community to become a Regional Chapter of Urban Sketchers in 2016, with artists sketching each week with the group from around the world. Background is marketing, graphic design and organic meat, now she provides her community with art making opportunities, urban sketching and delicious tacos.
In the Continuous Line Storytelling Group, Meagan offers tips and techniques that will allow you to become a stronger line maker by using the concept of continuous line drawing — one powerful, moving line that dances across your page — a technique Meagan champions to help artists of all skill levels better capture their experience of a location with a more organic and free flowing energy. The exercises will encourage you to lean into and develop your own personal drawing style and to let go of judgment because only you can tell your story.
Art Leap Adventures is an art workshop tour business Meagan created in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 2017. Everything moved to Zoom classes during the pandemic, teaching back-to-back sketch classes three times a week in the Zoom Sketch Sessions, as well as Watercolor Drama Watercolor workshops with friend and fellow artist Laurie Richards. In-person travel workshops re-started in 2022, with urban sketching workshops and retreats in Oaxaca, Mexico City, Guanajuato and Sayulita, and soon, San Francisco. Stay tuned for more on-location workshops with Meagan.
