Who is Meagan Burns
Meagan Burns artist, educator and workshop creator, originally from Chicago, first moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 2009 and now lives in Mexico City where she helps people plow through their drawing fears by practicing Continuous Line Drawing in the fascinating streets of Mexico City and beyond. Meagan rallied the San Miguel de Allende sketching community to become a Regional Chapter of Urban Sketchers in 2016, with artists sketching each week with the group from around the world. Background is marketing, graphic design and organic meat, now she provides her community with art making opportunities, urban sketching workshops and delicious tacos.
In the Continuous Line Storytelling group, Meagan offers tips, techniques and livestreams that will allow you to become a stronger line maker by using the concept of continuous line drawing — one powerful, moving line that dances across your page — a technique Meagan champions to help artists of all skill levels enhance their creative expression.
Art Leap Adventures is an art workshop tour business Meagan created in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 2017. Everything moved to Zoom classes during the pandemic, teaching back-to-back sketch classes three times a week in the Zoom Sketch Sessions, as well as Watercolor Drama Watercolor workshops. In-person travel workshops re-started in 2022, with urban sketching workshops and retreats in Oaxaca, Mexico City, Guanajuato and Sayulita, and soon, San Francisco. Stay tuned for more on-location workshops with Meagan.
