Join artist and instructor Meagan Burns for a hands-on Continuous Line Drawing workshop at Frëims Café in Condesa. This is a focused 2.5-hour session, designed for all levels of drawing experience.
With years of experience leading sketch workshops in Mexico City, Oaxaca, San Francisco, and Paris, Meagan brings her signature continuous line method to the Hipódromo.
We’ll begin with a short introduction to the continuous line approach, followed by warm-up exercises that get your hand moving and your attention grounded. In this class, we'll do drawing exercises to ease you into your practice, followed by a short demo, plus support as you create your own continuous line drawings. Once you get the hang of this, you won't stop, it's that much fun! This practice quiets the critic, and encourages you to find your own style, as we capture Frëims café’s energy.
Whether you're a practiced sketcher or picking up a pen for the first time in years, this class offers a tactile, energizing way to reconnect with your creativity. Come spend the afternoon drawing, observing, and connecting with others who want to keep their eyes open and their hands in motion.

Who is Meagan Burns
Meagan Burns is an artist, instructor, and founder of Art Leap Adventures, a workshop company focused on real-time, hands-on sketching experiences in iconic cities around the world.
Originally from Chicago and now based in Mexico, Meagan specializes in continuous line drawing, a bold, no-eraser approach that helps artists move past fear, build confidence, and draw with greater energy and flow. She’s led sketch workshops in Mexico City, Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende, San Francisco, and Paris, inviting artists of all experience levels to engage with place through movement, presence, and mark-making.
In 2021, she launched the Continuous Line Storytelling group, an international online community dedicated to building skill and creative resilience through live Zoom sessions and collaborative projects. Meagan was a founding member of the San Miguel de Allende Urban Sketchers chapter and has been a steady contributor to both local and global sketching communities since 2016.
With a background in marketing, graphic design, and regenerative farming, Meagan’s teaching is grounded, unconventional, and designed to help people draw like they mean it—not for perfection, but for presence.

- Sketchbook: Canson XL Watercolor 140lb, 9"x12" ( large sketchbook is suggested)
- Pens: Sailor Fude de Mannen Fountain Pen, Sharpies, Pentel Brush Pens
- Inks & Watercolors: Watercolors, Saturated Watercolor Inks, Crayons, Pencils, Markers
- Extras: Platinum Carbon Ink, bleed-proof white, salt, scrapers, straws
A basic sketchbook and two pens and a sheet of watercolor paper will be provided for workshop attendees, though you’re welcome to bring your own sketching supplies.
