FOR ALUMNI OF PREVIOUS "NEXT LEVEL WATERCOLOR" WORKSHOP
A mid-summer opportunity to practice with Laurie Richards, methods revealed in "Next Level Watercolor" San Miguel de Allende, Saturday, July 22, 2017
This is a practice session available to alumni of Lorie Topinka's and Laurie Richard's previous Next Level Watercolor workshop, to practice the techniques you learned and to build the confidence you need to use these techniques in your art wherever you go. (If you missed the previous workshop, hang tight, there will be more workshops later in the year.)
In this workshop, you will use your own art materials, but there is one prerequisite: Fabriano 50% cotton, 140lb paper is required, and bring your best paints.
You will need to make your own art journal using the watercolor paper recommended in the first workshop (Fabriano 50% cotton, 140 lb), in either sketchbook form or loose sheets.
Please bring your regular urban sketching art supplies, as you'll be doing some drawing in preparation of using the techniques we learned in the previous workshop.
A mid-day lunch break will be offered by Laurie's husband, David, and honestly you'd be crazy to miss both of these opportunities, watercolor techniques with Laurie and lunch by David!
Laurie Richards had completed a career in cross cultural education and information technology when she began writing and illustrating children's stories. Given her love of technology, Laurie initially worked extensively in digital art. Use of traditional art materials and urban sketching came later. In this workshop Laurie shares her love of teaching and her enthusiasm for watercolor with others who love to sketch.
Lorie Topinka and Laurie Richards will be offering a new watercolor workshop later in the year, so hang tight because more opportunities are coming! Thanks for your enthusiasm :)))
