Join artist and instructor Meagan Burns for a hands-on Continuous Line Drawing workshop at San Francisco’s iconic Ferry Building--a lively, half-day experience designed for all levels of drawing experience. With years of experience leading sketch workshops in Mexico City, Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende, and Paris, Meagan brings her signature continuous line method to this waterfront landmark—along with a snack break from a famed Ferry Building vendor..
We’ll begin with a short introduction to the continuous line approach, followed by warm-up exercises that get your hand moving and your attention grounded. You’ll create your own handmade sketchbook from high-quality watercolor paper, and we'll paint it, personalize it, and fill it throughout the session. Then we’ll move into a series of timed sketches and location-based drawing exercises designed to loosen your line, quiet your inner critic, and connect you to the world around you. Whether you're a practiced sketcher or picking up a pen for the first time in years, this workshop offers a tactile, energizing way to reconnect with your creativity. Come spend the morning drawing, observing, and connecting with others who want to keep their eyes open and their hands in motion.
