In this 2-hour Zoom workshop, we’ll get clear on what saturated inks are, then learn them by doing. We’ll run a simple test lab so you can see how your inks behave on your paper: dilution range, flow, blooms, layering, re-wet/lift, and how they work with line. Then we’ll use what you learned in a few short, timed sketches with ink. Share results if you want feedback.
Saturated inks have a specific kind of punch. They’re fast, intense, and a little wild in the best way. Once you feel how quickly they deliver bold color, you’ll understand why they pair so well with continuous line work. A replay is included with registration so you can revisit the test lab and keep practicing without pressure. This class is welcoming to beginners and satisfying for experienced artists. I’ll demonstrate, keep the pace moving, and help you build a simple, repeatable approach you can use anytime you want high-impact color fast.
You don’t need INDART to take this class. Any liquid watercolor ink is welcome.

Who Should Take this Class
This workshop is for you if you want to add bold, liquid color to your current drawing or painting practice without feeling lost.
It’s a fit if you’re curious about starting a simple creative habit, even if you’ve been inconsistent lately.
It’s also for you if you love color, or if you’ve been avoiding it and you’re ready to stop treating it like a scary cliff.
And it’s for anyone who believes the work gets better through practice, not perfection.
