Fabriano 50% cotton, 140 pound watercolor paper for best results with watercolor; you can make your own or purchase a sketchbook at Pato's: Strathmore Visual Journal Mixed Media Or your preferred sketchbook; sized around 6-9" square or rectangular shape. IMPORTANT: Paper should be heavy enough to take lots of watercolor (around 90 lbs.) Dry Media: Black Waterproof Pen(s), Preferably felt tip, but gel or roller ball are OK. Fine point Micron, Sharpies or Primacolors pens Colored pencils (Derwent Inktense are best) Markers as you choose Wet Media: Portable watercolor set: These can range from inexpensive student sets to finer quality more expensive sets such as Winsor Newton, Cotman or Sakura Koi. Tools: Watercolor brushes: 1/2" flat watercolor brush At least 1 small and 1 medium sized round brush plus one ¾”- 1” flat brush Liner brush (long thin ones) Large size waterbrush (Optional) Misc: Paper towels, water containers, small spray bottle Small folding stool, water bottle, hat |
